yeah! it worked.
We’re up and about and getting ready for our day. I slept 10 hours! Whoo hoo! And I was in a tank top and very warm. That is a first for me in Guatemala. I’m loving it!
We put together the two teams this morning. As long as the internet keeps working, I’ll keep you updated later today. Thanks for the prayers…I can feel them!
Brenda,
Glad you are safe and made it there! We are praying for you guys! Can’t wait to hear more. Our meal at church went without a hitch last night. Hope we can do it again and hang out with the people sometime when you guys are here too!
Take care!
Renee
Hey Brenda,
I am so glad that you got some well needed rest. I am glad it is a nice temp for you, I am sure you are loving the warmth. You are in my prayers. Can not wait to read more as your week goes on.
Yeah Brenda! So glad you got there safely. Music in Motion went really well today – I even got some hugs which is an extra bonus! Thanks for letting me sub for you.
The weather is warm here today! High 60′s – beautiful sunshine! I wish it would last!!
Have fun with the families and your team. I’m praying for ya! Love, Dawn
Hi, mom! I’m glad I can actually talk to you this time, now that I know what it feels like to not be able to contact anybody from Guatemala. Today reached 72 degrees! hehe we might even head to cone world after Kara and Sarah wash your car. I wore my new red shirt, not green, but I only got pinched once by Ashley Frazier. I miss you and it is no fun being the mom around here, it’s hard telling people what to do without making them mad at you! well, they aren’t getting that mad. I’ve been praying for you a lot and I really hope God shows you some awesome stuff over there. Love ya, nina.
hi sweetie, the weather is prfct. the kids are washing your truck and i’m napping on the porch. I hope you are having the time of yuor life. be careful .I love you.
Hi Brenda! We’re so happy to hear you all made it safely, and probably today you started building! It just has to be so much fun meeting people you’ve seen there before and “catching up”! We’re praying for you at special times and bathing you and the Team in prayer throughout the day. No news from Julie’s surgery yet; she had it yesterday. I can just see you enjoying everything you are doing to the max! That’s just you, loving every moment of serving and giving, and we love you for that!!
We’ll check back tomorrow! I love you! Mom, and Dad too!

Today was great! We started off at the house sites and prayed for the building and the families. The mother’s name is Reina, and they have 8 children: 4 boys and 4 girls. One of their boys, Oracio, was the boy whos leg was run over by the van when an Ivanrest team was here. Because of the doors opening through the care that Paradise bound provided, they have opened up and are now ready to have a home built. It reminds me again that we are always part of a bigger story, never just one of our own making. The threads of different lives come together in interesting and beautiful ways, especially with God as the Creator of it all. I spent some time talking with Reina, and trying to get the children to come out of the house. They were very shy, and it took quite a while to coax them out. I had the book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?’ (in Spanish, of course), and I read it while they looked through the cracks. After a couple of hours they were comfortable enough to come outside and I played duck, duck, goose with them. (It became quite the popular game, and we went through a lot of team members, especially since they always picked the ‘gringo’ to be the goose.) With 8 people per house, we cruise through the building process. The team is great. We all get along so well, and it’s very fun. I took lots of pictures and talked with the children as they came around. Rubrigas made her way to the jobsite…I ran and hugged her! She had Deborah, Jessica and Ezras with her, and a new little one…Nelson (6 months old) It was so exciting to see her and hear how she was doing. She remembered Paul and I immediately and it was a great moment. I had a nice warm shower (the first for me in the women’s room…I picked room 2 this time. ) We had lasagna for supper, and I’m working on uploading some pictures. It rained today, and is raining now, which is very unusual for the dry season. Pray for us tomorrow as we finish building and that the rain would not hinder our work. Love you all back home! Thanks for the prayers and comments! It’s fun to hear from you. Brenda
Brenda –
Thanks for the great post! How appropriate to see pictures of you in a long sleeve hooded sweatshirt!
I got tears in my eyes when I read that the family remembered you & Paul – I would love to see the families (in the same village) that we connected with.
I’ll be praying for warm, sunny weather tomorrow so that you can finish the building.
Love ya,
Karen

hi Brenda
So nice to read about your time there. When you describe things and looking at the pictures ..it brings back the memories. But you are so prepared with books and playing games that is so great. You have such a short time to make a connection and it sound you like you are jumping right in. I hope the rain stops and you can continue to build your homes. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Paul and the whole team.
Sya
Hi Brenda. Glad to hear that everything is working out well. Sorry you missed out 72 degree weather, but I suspect you get some great weather there. We’re praying for you and the team and trusting God for good results.
Good Morning, Brenda.
I hope you slept well again last night, and stayed warm. It sounds like you got a great start yesterday, how exciting to see your friends in Guate again.
We’re praying for you and the team. Have fun sharing the love of the Lord!
Thanks for the update on your work there. It sounds wonderful! We’ve been praying for you here as a staff and will continue to do so. We miss you here at the office. But I’m thrilled that you are there letting God use you there. Know that we are praying for you!

This morning was great! Paul and I were able to trek up to Ventura and Rubrigas to see them again. I brought thread and crochet hooks, scissors, baby blanket and things for the children. Paul had a hat from the company he works for “Ventura”. So Ventura can have his own hat. I spent a lot of time with the kids today. I had a towel that had a hopscotch board on it, so we played that, and ball, and I read another spanish book to the group of kids. I taught some of the boys how to play drums, with a pair of drumsticks on a bucket. Today I spent time with Reina (the mom), and gave her some gifts too…lotion and perfume, fabric and needles thread, etc. Paul and I were able to talk with the whole family when the father arrived home. Reina’s name is queen in Spanish, and she is a beautiful woman. The kids are well behaved and they get a lot of love, because they don’t clamour for hugs and attention. They love to play games, though, and we’ve spent a ton of time today doing that. No candy yet…not until tomorrow, which keeps the begging down. I really like that, and like forming the relationships with the kids by playing games. After lunch we’ll see the base. Looking forward to that, too!

Jim, I’m doing great! Love the weather and the kids. It was such a treat to visit with Rubrigas this morning with Paul and talk to her and her kids…to see the house we built and just be with her. Kristina, you would have loved this house. The kids are all so sweet, and I can imagine that you would have fun here. Casey, hope you’re doing well with your full schedule. The kids loved the drumsticks today, and I’m going to give away two pairs tomorrow and the drum pad to practice on. Kara, there’s a boy in this house that is 13 also. He’s short, and it’s astonishing that he’s that old. But all the kids are really sweet, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow. I love you all and am glad you’re doing well.
Brenda,
So fun to hear what you guys are up to. Thanks for keeping us posted. I love to hear about the building but also so important the relationships and playing with the children. How cool. Keep up the good work!
Renee
Hola, mama! Well, I guess you are getting a lot of spanish-speaking over there so I’ll save my spanish for later. It was my last day of driver’s ed today and I got none wrong on the written test. Have you seen any older kids around where you are or are they all 13 and younger? Tell me all the details on how you decorated the house because I know you wanted to do a lot with that. My backpack broke today and when it hit the ground it smooshed my cookie! I was so mad! I guess I’ll have to sew it back up again, but that will be good for me to do. Are there any people who need praying for so that they will open their hearts to God? Tell us and we will pray immediately. I missed you bunches today, and it’s weird not to talk to you right after school. I love you, Nina.
Hi Nina! Most of the kids are 13 or younger. I think the older ones go off to work or something. I am practicing my spanish a lot, and having fun doing it. Tomorrow we’ll decorate the house and I’ll take some pictures and fill you in. I miss talking to you, too!I’ll have lots to say when I get back, so I’ll save some of my stories for later. Pray for the house we are building for. I’m not sure where they stand with God, but the radio next door blares Christian music and a Spanish preacher, so they hear about it, that’s for sure. Dan has a Bible on i-pod (solar powered, can you believe it) because this family cannot read. The only one who can is Oracio, the boy who’s leg was run over a couple of years ago. I had fun reading Red had, blue hat, etc, today to the kids. And they loved the hopscotch towel! Benjamin is a little squirt that has captured my heart. He’s a friend of the family and wears a cute little cap. He smiles so cute, and doesn’t push or beg, but just wants to play. He’s adorable! Anyway, I hope you have a great night. So glad to hear about driver’s training! Love you all tons. Help dad get online some, will you? Love, mom
Hi hon ,
work was good today .the weather is still 60.The kids are fine Praise team was fun, sunday should be great! Cool songs! Your posts look really wonderful ,I’m praying that the rest of the week will bring more of God’s hand to be seen with you. I love you and miss you.
Jimmy

this week has gone by so fast, but also so fast. i don’t know how to explain. i hope u get to experience a lot of new and exciting things there. PLEASE WRITE BACK.
P.S (i am really sorry about my attitude and wen u com back i will try harder to act polite)
I love u SO MUCH.
Sounds like you’re keeping busy. Yes, we have a computer here, and I got to create the pages for everybody and upload the pictures. Have you seen those yet? You should click on the picture page and check it out. I’m glad you and Sarah are having fun together. I hope the weather is nice when I get back home, too. I’m really enjoying being warm again. I’ve still got a sweatshirt on most of the time, but when the sun is out in the afternoon it gets high enough for me to take it off. Love you sweetie! MOM
I’m glad tonight went well! I’ve been enjoying the singing time so much here. It’s been refreshing and uplifting. Estuardo let me borrow his keyboard, and Paul and Aaron have been playing guitar…we’re all rotating the playing time and it’s been great. This whole group is great and we all work together well and have a great time—everyone shares so openly, and it’s been a blast!
Pray for us tomorrow when we dedicate the houses. I’ve got a whole suitcase and garbage bag full of stuff, and Nancy Dyke brought a whole suitcase full also, so it will be Christmas times 10 tomorrow! I had a whole bag to give to the other house, too, and Nancy brought another suitcase full for them, so it’s going to be a fantastic dedication and housewarming. I can’t wait to decorate, and to see what God has in store for these families. I keep praying for their hearts to be open. I know God’s been working on them.
I haven’t worn my glasses for the past two days, which is probably good with all the sanding, mudding and stucco going on.
Time for bed. Love you lots!
Brenda
Hey Big Sis,
I am glad to hear that everything is going well for you. Sounds like you are having alot of fun!! Did I read right that you have everyone playing instruments there too…so now you have international musical influence, that’s cool!!
You are pretty amazing to be giving of yourself the way that you are. God is certainly
using you for a bigger story, you are a true servant.
I hope all goes well your last few days and you have safe travel home. Can’t wait
to hear all about it.
Brian

Hi Brenda! We’re both so excited with you and for you, especially seeing the pictures and hearing that you’re enjoying it all so much, and also are able to play your music! Love it! I’m sure your glasses would get in the way of working, I wondered when I saw your pictures without them. The weather has been gorgeous this week, but I know even more beautiful there! What a country to be in. By the way, Julie’s surgery was successful, and she is healing nicely, is sore, but relieved! Dad and I trust that the Lord is working out so many of your requests; He is Faithful! Enjoy your day. We love you, Mom and Dad
Hey, Brenda!
You have been on my mind and in my prayers this week. Trusting that you are having a rich time; your picture at the top of this page is so life-like…I could “hear” hear your smile. Blessings to you and the team.
One of the other Brendas.
Its great to read that everything is going fine and on schedule. Praise rehersal was fun. Jim missed you alot. I’m praying for you and your team every day.
Brenda,
Sounds like you are having a great time! AWESOME!! Praying you have a great last few days there before you return back home. Can’t wait to hear some of the stories.
Shari
Hey Friend!
Your stories about the kids warm my heart. I can just see you playing with them!
I can tell that you are having a wonderful time serving and being in fellowship with other believers.
I haven’t been around the office much this week because Mackenzie has pneumonia. Can you believe it? I will be glad to get all the illness done with in my house.
I hope the rest of your week continues to go well. You’re in my thoughts and prayers!!
Love, Dawn
It’s Thursday, but we aren’t able to eat spaghetti today. The weather here is cold again so you have the better weather there. Do you head to the medical clinics tomorrow? I am getting confused on the days. I hope your family really gets to know about Jesus or just gets a better relationship with him. Does your family have a father around? I only heard that there were 8 kids and a mom. I really hope the dedication goes well. I saw that another person on your team also brought a suitcase full of stuff. Wow, that is going to shock them. Praying for you and loving you tons. Nina
hi boss. sounds like a great journey! tried using your PC today for creator countdown but the program just kept crashing when i tried to save it. hasn’t been my week technically speaking. anyway we’re all thinking about you. enjoy the weather cuz winter is back here!

Brenda,
Just saw your updates. So glad everything is going well. Have been praying for you and the team. How did the ladies like your embroidary floss and crochet hooks? They have probably spent many hours working on things already. Will keep praying they see Jesus working through you.
Sheri
Hi Brenda –
I can’t wait to read your update about the dedications today! I was thinking about you this afternoon around 2pm & praying for the families & your team, praying for open hearts & that God’s work would be accomplished thru all of you. Thanks again for being so willing to be used by HIM this week
Love ya,
Karen
Thanks for the update – what a great day!!! OK….I posted on your page 1st today at about 6:30pm & then Paul & Nancy’s pages but the time on your page says 8:20pm. Go figure.
I just read Melissa’s page about the schedule – up at 5:30am for breakfast?!?! Yikes…… IT Director Johnson had trouble waking me up at 6:30am this week at church for IHN – tell Dan to get the noise makers ready
Enjoy the rest of your week and can’t wait to hear all of your stories!
Love,
Karen

Isn’t that crazy? It’s because of the time difference…we’re two hours different. Which will make you feel a lot better when I tell you that it’s more like 6:00 or 6:30 when we’re supposed to get up, and it will feel like 8 or 8:30 Michigan time. You’re going to love working at the new base!
So good to read your posts and imagine God using you in Guatamala! You’ve been in my heart and in my prayers. It sounds like you’re enjoying the spanish and the kids! Hope you had fun with “Christmas” today… I”m sure the kids did! Well, we’ll keep praying for you… love ya tons!!
This day of the trip is always my favorite, and today was no exception. Again I was able to play games with the kids, talk with them and build the relationships. We finished painting and then came decoration. So much fun! We got the corner shelf up and the flowers, pictures, clothes hooks and shelves, along with new curtains and a rug for the doorway. I stenciled near the door: some grapes and vines, and the verse was John 15:5 “I am the vine….” etc. I also had a cross to hang over the doorway. The dedications were great. Like I said, it was Christmas times 10, and their arms were full and their eyes lit up with excitement. So much fun…can you tell I like this part?
The other group’s family accepted Christ, and in our family we had a warm reception as well. The father is a believer and wishes the same for his family. They prayed the prayer, but I could sense some hesitation on Reina’s part. But that’s ok. Our God is great, and he’s been working in this family for many years already. Today was just another step in the process that we all go through in knowing Christ more fully. Hermano Jesus sang with the kids and spoke to them. It was very chaotic and I think they’ve heard this before. But one man asked for prayer, and who ever knows how many seeds were planted. When we sang as a group I looked at all the people around the house and on the hill. I made lots of eye connection and smiled, and prayed that the message we sent with our songs and our body language would speak the truth loud and clear. The pinata was very fun, and even Hermano Jesus dived in for some candy. I’m very tired emotionally, and that’s good too. We had pizza for supper tonight…whoo hoo! I had too many pieces, but it was so good! Anyway, that’s the update for today. Thanks for your prayers and your comments. It’s so nice to hear from you all, and I rely on the prayers here to keep going, so thank you again! Love you all! Brenda
Casey,
Oracio was so excited today when I gave him the drumsticks and pad to have. Yesterday I played with the kids on a bucket and taught them some licks, starting with easy patterns and moving to more difficult ones. It was easy to pick out the kids who had rhythm, and I know that Oracio is going to have fun with this gift. Hope your jazz festival went well tonight! Love you!
Hey Brenda! We’ve been thinking about you and praying for you this week! Our God is amazing, isn’t he? It sounds like he has opened up so many opportunities for you to share his word. Keep up the amazing work of being Jesus to so many!
Hi Brenda. Good to hear the reports and see the pictures. Brings back some memories for us. God bless you for your gifts and your love for the people there. Your are right that we will never know how many seeds were planted, but there is no greater truth than this, some seed were definitely planted and God used you for plant them. Keep up the good work. We look forward to hearing your stories when you get home.
Good morning sweetheart.Ican’t wait for you to come home .The kids are allways gone .I’ll be praying for you on your trip into the mountains. That seems to be the most scary . I’m sure you are excited.
Well ,off to work.
I love you!

Good morning Jim! We’re busy packing meds and the bags of beans, rice and tracts for the villages. Noemi is making lunch for us…it looks delicious! I can’t even describe to you how good this trip has been. I’m excited to tell you about it. If you’re bored with all the kids gone, you can just write to me. It’s nice to have internet this time, and I’m having fun taking pictures and updating the blogs. Love you so much!
B
It’s great that you got to use your corner shelf! I bet the house is beautiful, a palace in Guatemala. We’ll miss you at breakfast tomorrow, maybe Jim will come withoout you???. I’ll pray for your work at the clinics and at the Jesus film. More souls will be added to the Kingdom through your work.
Hi Babe, TGIF.
miss you so much. Yes I’m bored, but not too bad.Tony and I went golfing and bowling in his basement tonight. That was fun but not $450.00 fun for a wii.Praying for your team tonight for God’s spirit to move in the hearts of all who hear the good news . Those clinics are tough work! Lov ya.
P.S. I hate typing.
Hi Brenda
It was nice that you got to go to the new base and work there to. It is going to be a beautiful place to be, so high up in the mountain. Sanding not to much fun but I am sure they are trying to get it ready for the painters next week. It will be a wonderful place for the ministry to continue.
I am sorry that Jim is all on his own… But we had a great time at the GEMS late nighter with Kara tonight. And it was a fun time…I am sure that she will tell you about it .We played musical chairs – lots of fun.WE were with the 5th graders. Sheri said we were the most enthusiastic group she had all night. I gave Kara a good night hug for you..she is such a sweetie.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,And thanks so much for the pictures and updates. Your house looked so nice…loved the curtain and the hook to hang things up…they will love it. You are all such a blessing and I know you are feeling a great blessing as well. Sya

Good Morning Brenda Sue! What a great week you’ve had, everything you’ve experienced, all the lives that you’ve touched and that have been touched by the Savior’s love, and we’re anxious to hear how everything went in the villages. I went right by Paradise Bound Friday afternoon in Zeeland, & thought I better stop and see the store, the Guatemala Outreach; the girl at the check-out said that a girl that works there is on your team also! We’re so happy you accepted this assignment from the Lord and we’re sure anxious to hear everything about your week! We love you Brenda! Mom and Dad
Good morning! Yesterday we loaded up and headed to the village for the medical clinic. I took a picture of Estuardo and his family before we left. As I got into the van and looked to the front, I realized that Estuardo was coming with us! What a blessing to be able to work along side of him tonight. He gave the instructions to the people as they got their meds. I was at the back of the table doing quality control, and so I talked to him throughout the night. I tell you, it was downright cold all day! I brought long underwear and was wearing that, along with a long sleeved shirt and a t-shirt, and that was before night-time hit! The people who came through were bundled up as well, with hats and some coats and lots of blankets. We sang as a group, and I was the first to give my testimony. I talked about their clothes and how beautiful they were. Then I said that God was a designer. I told them about my childhood and being made fun of, and how I relied on God and his love for me. I said that there were times I wondered why that happened. And then I showed them my black shirt and said how plain it was. If life was only happy or only hard, it would be very boring. I said that God designed our lives just like their clothing, with many life experiences, and when our lives are done we can look back and see something beautiful that he’s created. Then I sang a song as my testimony… Allegria…Remember that one kids…the one I OD’s on in the car and learned by heart? It was great to be able to share it. Two more people gave their testimony. We sang “In Christ Alone’ to finish up, and then Hermano Jesus preached. I walked toward an empty chair but then a little girl I hadn’t seen was also going to sit. Her mom saw me and told the girl to give me the chair. I sat down and then invited the girl to sit on my lap. So we kept warm together through Hermano Jesus’ sermon. I love his preaching! He’s so passionate about these people and about the Lord. So many people came forward at the invitation that there was only a small group left in the chairs! He prayed with them, we prayed over them and then handed out the Bibles. There was an old man standing watching as the Bibles were being handed out. He looked albino or maybe had some caucasion in him, and he was old and had teeth falling out. He was so intent on what was happening and had wandered near the front to see better. I asked him how he was and if he wanted to accept Christ, too. He said yes, and so I brought him to Hermano Jesus and we prayed with him and gave him a Bible, too. It was an incredible night. The people were so polite in the line at the end of the night, and very thankful for the rice and beans and soap. We had safe travels home and a good night sleep. Praise God for what he accomplished! I’m looking forward to tonight! Please keep praying for us. The villages can be so different, and you never know what to expect.
Wooa! That is awsome about that old man and Estuardo. Still praying alot for you .Your kids are the best.
Mom D.V. wrote too and says their praying for you too.
I just read what you wrote and that is amazing. I am so glad. I remember how awkward it was when I went to a village like that, but I am happy that you had a good experience there. I also thought that what you said in your testimony was great and with what you said, I’m positive God was showing you what to say. You could relate to them so well and that definately pulled them closer to God. I am still praying for you, but I also need you to be praying for us at home. Miss you and love you bunches. Nina
Hey to my fam! Jim, I love you and have really been revived here. I am praying for all of you Kristina, and hope you are having a good week. I really look forward to talking with you and hanging out again. I can’t wait for McDonalds tomorrow. That sounds really good. Casey, how did the jazz festival go? Hope you have a good trip with Genesis this weekend and that you can make it through Sunday morning. Kara, hope you are still having a good time with Sarah, and keeping Dipstick in line. Can’t believe it’s Saturday already, but my thoughts are turning towards home and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again! Love you bunches and bunches!
Hi Brenda, it’s wonderful to hear your stories and picture again life in Guatemala. Thanks for being Christ’s hands and feet. It sounds like an incredible week. I wish I could be there again But, I’m home awaiting my own little miracle Three more weeks til our baby arrives! You are in my prayers as your trip comes to a close and you return home.

JIM
once again, do you believe that guy? what a journey for you this past week. i know your blogging is getting karen geared up to go! we had pete and kristina over for some great company, SUPER brownie cupcakes and we talked about tolkien stuff. we’ll be thinking about you when at church tomorrow. i think the guitar player should be ok. GOD BLESS!
Brenda,
I’ve been reading your posts this week and am incredibly jealous that I’m not there. You have been in our thoughts and prayers all week and I’m glad you can be our hands and feet in a place that needs all of our hands and feet to bring the Word.
I’m looking forward to hearing the stories when you get back.
Just a quick one before I hit the sack… Tonight went very well, besides the fact that the projector conked and we couldn’t show the Jesus film. We served around 80 families, which took us a little over 6 hours. We’re back now, and it’s midnight, but thankful to God for another night of reaping the harvest. I shared my testimony again because no one else was stepping forward, but I’m glad I did. I’m so cold…got my long underwear on and 3 shirts and a sweatshirt and a light undershirt. The people were very cold tonight too. I’m going to crawl into bed and get some sleep before tomorrow.
Jim, I’ll be praying for you tomorrow. I hope your arm can make it and Casey will be able to stay awake. Love you guys! Only a couple more days.
Hi, The services went great and everyone involved would have made you proud. We went to jim and becky’s for lunch .Yumm! Dad and I got to shoot Jims new glok-9>Woah that was loud.Let’s see.Hmm I drove the sploader in the mud and got stuck chasing Jim through the corn field —twice. That was fun. The kids got to shoot bb guns at cans and stuff.A $7.00 car wash later and fillup and were home for a nap.Weretaking a vote on what’s for supper.
The clinics sounded challenging and rewarding. There is nothing like bearing good fruit!!!!!!!!!!!Ilove you much.
Hey mom, i had to start all over because the dumb computer erased it all. We went to Ohio for the competition but we didnt make finals by .4. We had the same stupid judges that hated our show last time and they gave us 79.48. The first place winners got only two points higher than ours and so we were all pretty close but we ended up fourth. However, the jazz band festival went well, I saw Mike Beazy from genesis that played for his school. We were jamming and so was the first jazz band. We had a good run.
I wish i could be there to teach some of the kids some drum licks with you and show off a little bit too. I hope you had fun with thee kids there even though its kind of cold. Its pretty warm up here. We wwent to the Bosh’s house to have lunch and I got to shoot Tyler’s pellet gun and bb- guns while dad and the others shot the glock-9 that uncle Jim bought recently. I cant wait to see you again, but I guess i’ll have to wait till tuesday. See Ya
dad is making pizza right now. sarah went 2 church w/ us today and body builders. next week is our last week. i cant wait until pizzzzaaaa. we got to ride on keatons dirt bikes, but keaton couldn’t he had a cold.we went to aunt becky’s house after church. we couldnt catch the kittens though. they r getting older now. they got a new dog.
well pizza is ready. bye.
hey boss. wow what a great evening for you saturday. this morning’s instrument changes were very nice and kristina’s bass line to open amazing love was sweet! what’s up with the cold?
mission service went GREAT tonight with 125. safe travels!
Hey, today was a great day. Very warm. I opted not to put on sunscreen so I could get some color. I think I succeeded. We got to spend 6 hours in Antigua, so I hit the McDonalds for a Big Mac meal and flurry, and did some shopping, some sight-seeing, some people watching and had a very relaxing day. Glad church went well. I prayed for you during the middle of the first service, and just before the 5:00pm. Glad to hear the evening one went well too. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Tuesday! Love you!
It sounds like you’ve been having some amazing moments in the medical clinics. I can’t wait to hear the whole story. I am starting to really miss you and I’m sick of being the mom. I am so excited to see you again andI pray that you can have safety when you come home. I love you so much. Nina
I hope You’re having fun in Guatemala. I can’t wait till’ you get home and maybe tell us all the stories. Hope you have a safe trip home. I’ve been praying for you and everybody else. See you when you get home. From: Sarah Ilbrink…

Hola Brenda,
We have been thinking about you guys and praying for your safe trip home. I would love to put our group picture on this site, but I’m not sure how. If you get this, could you let me know how to do it.
Love ya, Nancy D.
yeah!
Take care!
Renee
It must be 80+ for you to say “warm”. Just waiting to hear about the great things God has in store for you this week.
Hey Brenda,
I am so glad that you got some well needed rest. I am glad it is a nice temp for you, I am sure you are loving the warmth. You are in my prayers. Can not wait to read more as your week goes on.
Love ya
Sarah
Good to hear from you & looking forward to an update after your 1st building day!!
Leave some warm weather there for me next week
Blessings,
Karen
Love ya,
Karen

Bye mom Love u.
Love Dad
Good Morning, Brenda.
I hope you slept well again last night, and stayed warm. It sounds like you got a great start yesterday, how exciting to see your friends in Guate again.
We’re praying for you and the team. Have fun sharing the love of the Lord!
Good morning Brenda!
Thanks for the update on your work there. It sounds wonderful! We’ve been praying for you here as a staff and will continue to do so. We miss you here at the office. But I’m thrilled that you are there letting God use you there. Know that we are praying for you!
Grace & Peace!
Tony
Renee
hi brenda! sounds like a great day. keep posting. we’re thinking about you.
Love, mom
Hi hon ,

Karbear,
Sounds like you’re keeping busy. MOM
Jim,
I’m glad tonight went well!
Brian
Hi again, It’s 85 and sunny.Had to chase the kids from the hood out of the pool again.Larry’s right ,I can’t count but some how some way they all followed me anyway.sunday should be fun.
love you lots. j
Lar
Brenda,
Sounds like you are having a great time!
Brenny-
So good to read your posts and imagine God using you in Guatamala! You’ve been in my heart and in my prayers. It sounds like you’re enjoying the spanish and the kids! Hope you had fun with “Christmas” today… I”m sure the kids did! Well, we’ll keep praying for you… love ya tons!!
sj
Love Dad and mom
B
Hi Brenda,
It’s great that you got to use your corner shelf! I bet the house is beautiful, a palace in Guatemala. We’ll miss you at breakfast tomorrow, maybe Jim will come withoout you???. I’ll pray for your work at the clinics and at the Jesus film. More souls will be added to the Kingdom through your work.
Mary
Nina

Brenda,
I’ve been reading your posts this week and am incredibly jealous that I’m not there. You have been in our thoughts and prayers all week and I’m glad you can be our hands and feet in a place that needs all of our hands and feet to bring the Word.
I’m looking forward to hearing the stories when you get back.
In Christ,
Andy

Nina
